We had such a great Christmas with the Peers side! We had lots of yummy food on Christmas Eve... Crab, cheese platter, and Christmas goose! Mikey's uncle got us this fantastic rug for our living room. SO HAPPY!

This little munchkin is 6 months old! Can you believe it? I can't! She is such a sweet thing! Takes so much abuse (love) from her older sister's. She loves rolling around, chewing on everything, yelling at her toys and mommy love. I haven't started solids with her yet. I just haven't had the energy. I'm not looking forward to the mess and extra laundry. I've been so busy with all of Evie's health issues, her 6 month mark snuck up on me. She is definitely my chunkiest baby and I love it. I'm so sad it's going so fast! STOP!!!!! My last baby needs to be a baby a little longer :-)

This past month has been quite a whirlwind. My friend moved. Still mad at her for that! After we went to Utah Ev got sick and we've had doctor after doctor appointments. Pretty sure Utah is cursed. Seriously for 4 weeks I went once or twice a week. Poor Evie. Her eczema flared up so bad and she started getting these weird open sores all over her body. They even ended up doing a biopsy. Nothing really came through on the biopsy so we are going to a specialist on Monday. Yuck. So sick of it! The past couple days her wounds have started heal so hopefully we are almost done with it! But on the up side we had a fun halloween and thanksgiving.

I took a little trip to Utah from Wed-Mon. I had 3 free tickets and since Mikey quit his job to go out on his own I thought now would be the time since we're not dirt poor yet :-) I have 3 siblings in Utah and my other sister and I planned it so we would go out there at the same time and my mom joined us over the weekend so we all got to be together. It was so fun! We did Cafe Rio, Kneaders, Paradise Bakery, the chocolate, brunch at Sundance, Wingers, Gardner village and Thanksgiving Point. Can you tell we love food? ;-)

I can't believe Jocelyn is 5!!! Really? 5? You're in Kindergarten? She is doing great and excelling in school. She's a huge help with the other two kids and I'm am SO thankful for that! Have I told you how much I love this baby? Well I do! SOOOOO much! She is so sweet, smiley and even tempered. I just love it! I never knew a baby could be so sweet! A little angel from heaven. Thank you Grandma Tony!! Seriously she is so much easier compared to my other two. Night and day compared to Evelyn! Oh Evelyn, she is still so difficult. The terrible two's are seriously terrible with this one. I spoke too soon when I said I was glad we didn't give her away! J/K...kind of. Do you think Ev is going to develop a complex if she reads all of this? Hopefully it's when I'm old and don't care ;-) Love you Evie! Is that better?

Baby shower fun.

There have been sooooo many babies and pregnant women in our ward the last 4 months, I swear I've been to a baby shower twice a month for the last 6 months. Two Saturday's ago my friend from DC was having a baby shower. She now lives on the peninsula and some lady from hillsborough was throwing her a baby shower. Heidi has a special place in my heart. One reason is because when I was pregnant with Joce and didn't know anyone out there yet, she threw me a baby shower.

Well, Hillsborough is a very confusing place. It's on a huge hill and at every stop there are like 5 forks in the road. I left 30min early because I knew I would get lost. And get lost I did! I finally got back on track and saw some lovely blue balloons ahead of me. I pulled over to the side and was about to check my gps to be sure when a man came up to my window because they had hired a limo service to drive people up their very steep driveway. I asked if this was for the baby shower and he said yes. Wow. Nice!

So I get Roz out of the car and the limo/bus thing takes me up the driveway. The lady throwing the shower comes out and I tell her I know Heidi from DC and she says great and we chit chat a little. I'm one of the first ones there since I was 3 mins early. She leads me through her house which is GORGEOUS! Hillsborough is a very weathly area. Holy smokes there's was a catered lunch and everything. Anyway, I start talking to some other ladies and get Roz out of her carseat. I've been there for about 10 min when the lady comes back in with some more people. I go up and ask her how she knows Heidi and she tell me she doesn't. "Oh?" I say, "You don't know Heidi and you're throwing her a baby shower?"

"No." she says

"Heidi Kershaw?"

"No."

Giant pause as I am completely embarrassed and realize...

"Oh, my gosh! I think I'm at the wrong baby shower!!!"

hahahaha. Oh. my. gosh!

I tell her since I said in the beginning that I know Heidi from DC that would have done it then and there but she said her daughter has a friend Heidi who is coming and didn't think much of it. What are the chances that there would be two showers at 12pm both for baby boys with a heidi? Seriously? So embarrassing. So I tell her, obviously, I need to get that shuttle back to my car! As I'm getting out the girl who's baby shower it actually is gets out of the shuttle with a whole bunch of people and the mom starts laughing and telling everyone I was at the wrong baby shower. Oh dear.

Yes, I finally made it to the right baby shower that was 1/2 a mile up and around the corner and tell everyone there the story. We had a good laugh. I mean, what's the point of having that stuff happen if you can't share it, right? Story of my life.

Hospital time!

Little miss Evie had a fun-filled 2 night stay in the hospital Monday and Tuesday night. It all started the week before when she started running a fever. No big deal but then a rash developed along with some horrendous puffy, red eyes. I took her to the doctor that Friday after the fever didn't go away for a week. They gave me some antibiotics and told me to call if they didn't work by the time the weekend was over. It didn't, so I made an appt with my doctor for Monday. She examined her, made me take her to the lab and draw some blood and WAIT for the results to come in. After being there for 3 hrs (with all three kids by myself) I finally called Mikey and told him something weird was going on. He came right when the Dr came to let us know that after talking with a couple dr's they decided they should admit her to the hospital for possible Kawasaki's Disease which is life threatening if not treated. AH!

So we took her over there, by this time is was about 6pm, and they gave her an IV(sad!!) and then the Pediatric surgeon came to talk to us and examine her. He said since her temp wasn't over 101 anymore that he wanted to run some more tests before giving her the treatment since there are possible side effects that come with it. We did X-rays and some more exams and then they just wanted to monitor her until the next day. Her lab results were weird so they decided to do an Echocardio but the cardiologist could come until the next morning which meant another night in the hospital, yay! (not). She got more blood drawn Wednesday morning and the Echo done. Her heart looked good (kawasaki's affects the heart) so they said we could go home and would let us know how the blood tests they just took turned out. They came back looking like everything was going back to normal! And to come back next week to get her blood drawn just to make sure everything was back to normal.

We are so grateful she ok and SO grateful for everyone who helped us out those 3 stressful days. It was scary that she had a fever that long but we're so happy it wasn't Kawasaki's!

We've had a lot of fun this past week. We went to Santa Cruz and ate a lot of food and played on the beach for a bit. The main thing that got us down there was that we found out that there was a Dole Whip stand on the boardwalk. I LOVE Dole Whip. It was one of my favorite things when I lived in Hawaii. Jocelyn had fun going on all the rides and playing on the beach. We also went to 6 flags but I forgot my camera. Jocelyn went on all the "big" roller coasters that her height allowed her to. I also had my 10yr reunion and it was fun catching up with old friends. Last but not least, Jocelyn started Kindergarten! What happened to my baby? There's no turning back now and I'm sad! I didn't think I would be but I am. Maybe I will hold her back! wah wah! I want her to be 18 months again. I must admit I was a little bit more sad packing up all my newborn clothes since there will be no more babies. I might have shed a couple tears :-( Where is the time going?

Sunday Evelyn turned 2!! We headed up to Mikey's grandparents house and my mom and grandparents met us there. Mikey's dad and sister Cat came too. We had a nice dinner, opened presents and ate lots of cake. Evelyn enjoyed opening all her presents and Jocelyn was such a sweetie helping her and never getting jealous at all. Evelyn loves carebears, running after her sister, cuddling, dancing and singing. She is such a sweet little thing, though, tantrums have been in the mix lately especially at bedtime. We love you so much and we're glad we didn't give you away when you were a horrible, colicky baby like we thought about doing :-)

I got to see my brother's family on Saturday. We had a fun relaxed day. We went to Katy's Kreek for lunch and then came back and took some rides on the golf cart and then went to the pool. It was my first time meeting Davis! He is so sweet and such a good baby.

Wow, is she already a month old? Crazy! I'm so happy we're both alive :-) She's been an easier baby so far except for the extreme gassiness which causes her to wake up more than should would at night. One huge factor is the Binky! My other two would not take one and now I know the wonderful world of plugging up your baby! We went up to my moms for the 4th of July and it was really fun to be with all my sisters. All the kids got along really well and we had a great bbq!

Rosslyn Estelle arrived on June 8th at 12:39am. It was so painful!! The epidural only numbed half my body and even that was weak. The lady didn't make it in time to come and fix it. I went from a 6 to a 10 in 8 minutes. When the nurse checked me and told me I was a six she said she'd come back in an hour or TWO and make sure the anesthesiologist would come. Darn it! Well, she came fast and all was well. I still didn't decide on the name until the next day. She's been a pretty good baby so far...Grandma Tony has held up her side of the bargain ;-)

This baby is due in a week and I am soooooo nervous. I don't know if I want three kids anymore! haha! Seriously! What was I thinking? I can barely handle two! I really just hope I have a healthy baby and Evelyn doesn't freak out :-) I still don't have a name set in stone. It's between Rosslyn (pronounced Rozlyn) as in Rosslyn, VA or Madelyn. I think I'm sticking with Estelle as the middle name.

Easter

We had a great Easter this year. We started it off Saturday with an Easter brunch and Egg hunt at a friends home. Jocelyn had a great time. She is quite the competitive egg hunter. Sunday morning the girls found eggs at home and got their Easter baskets. That evening we headed up to Mikey's grandparents house for Easter dinner with some of Mikey's family. We had such a nice Easter this year.

I was getting the kids out of the bath and while I was drying off Jocelyn I had her facing me. I , like always, when these things happen...being naked or in my underwear...was sitting on the toilet in my bra and Jocelyn looked down and said, "Wow Mommy! Why are your boobs so big?! Relishing in the compliment since my boobs are never big unless I'm pregnant said, "Well, that happens sometimes when you have a baby in your tummy." Then she proceeded to look down again and say, "Mommy, why are your legs so big?" Oh man :-( That happens sometimes too.

Nothing much going on around here. Just getting bigger and bigger. I have two months left and I'm just trying to mentally prepare myself for the dreaded newborn stage. I've moved Evelyn into Jocelyn's room and it has been a nightmare so far. Evelyn screams for about an hour every night and they both get up super early for some reason now. I'm not liking it. I guess that's one way to prepare for a newborn. Besides varicose veins, long colds, and headaches, this pregnancy has been ok. No major problems...yet!

We took a little hike called Makapuu trail. It's an old light house access road so it's paved up the side of a mountain. So nice to be able to push the stroller up and a good little workout:-)

We had a big North Shore day and went to Sunset Beach, Romy's shrimp shack and the PCC.

My sister let us stay at her house that she's renting and it was beautiful! They kept their pool so warm, the kids would wake up and just jump right in. Such a fun trip!

Mikey took Jocelyn skiing and it was sure an adventure. When they first arrived Jocelyn saw another girl with purple ski's and purple boots and wanted them so she refused to ski the first half of the day. Well, after a nice big lunch and a couple bribes later she decided to give it a try and had a good time.

And well....another baby girl on the way. The lady couldn't get a good pic but there was no doubt when I saw the ultrasound. That's it for me! Three hormonal teenage girls and paying for three weddings in my future.

Ok, first let me preface this with the fact that I DO find the humor in these comments.

Why is it that people always ask me even after I tell them this is my last baby, "What if it's a girl? Will you have another and try for a boy?" Ummm...no. Why would I have another kid just to see if it's a boy? I pretty much have a 50/50 chance that I will get another GIRL! What then, huh. You want me to keep going and going and going? Have you not seen families with 5 girls, 4 boys...better yet the family I know with 7 boys? WHAT THEN???? Are you going get up five times a night with that baby? Are you going to deal with the fighting? Are you going to pay for its college?

I think it's funny because I want 3 KIDS. I never cared what heck they'd turn out to be. Three kids is what is manageable for ME...physically, emotionally, mentally. I mean do people really do that? Do they keep going even if they didn't really want that many kids? Well, sorry, I find that absolutely crazy. I know we've all got a bit of crazy in us but that's not mine, no thank you. I'd like to be happy and sane and for me that limit is 3.

One person even told me, "Well, I guess you could adopt a boy." AHHHHH are you for real??? If my heart was in the right place and I was going to adopt a kid you better believe I'd take any tiny soul that came along regardless if it was a boy or a girl. Come on people!!!!

If for some reason I get the real crazies and decide to have a fourth it will be because I WANT A FOURTH CHILD!!!!! Not because I have some sort of crazy, desperate feeling to keep going because I want a boy. No, no thank you. I think you should have kids because you actually want another kid.

Mikey's brother got married on Nov. 6th. The wedding was beautiful and everything went smoothly. Jocelyn was the flower girl and so excited. Unfortunately she got croup the day before but she pulled it together for the wedding. What a trooper!

Oh Evelyn...this past year was pretty terrible. Three deaths really affected me all before you were six months old. I went to two funerals. Arthur was so young...in his early twenties and Mikey's mom found out she had cancer December 22rd and died on January 30th at only 56. Besides that you were a colicky mess. NON STOP CRYING!!!! Finally around six months you started to calm down more and we were able to enjoy you more. I remember the first time you played on the floor for more than 5 minutes without crying...Mikey and I just looked at each other, "Oh my gosh, she's been on the floor for 10 minutes by herself! It's a miracle!" Now you are a clingy but cuddly little bug. Here are some things about you:

You give the biggest hugs and kisses

You come over to Mommy, Daddy, or Jocelyn and just lay your head in our laps

You fight Jocelyn for the foam chair...you have claimed it as yours

You have 12 teeth!!!

You can crawl, cruise and stand by yourself

You can say Daddy and Hi

You clap and wave

You are obsessed with putting lids back on things and having a utensil to put in a cup or a bowl

You love macaroni, pirate booty, pancakes and waffles, roasted sweet potatoes and plums

You know what you want and scream til you get it. My girls are not passive, that's for sure!

I drove my mom back to Pollock Pines from picking her up at SFO and stayed there for a couple days. On the drive Jocelyn was singing and my mom told her she was really good at it. Jocelyn then asked my mom what she was really good at. My mom thought for a sec and said, "Well Jocelyn, I'm not really good at anything."
Jocelyn sincerely said, "Yes, what about hugging? You're really good at hugging!"
Mom: "That's right! I am Jocelyn. Thank you for reminding me."
Jocelyn: "And what about chewing? You're really good at chewing." hahaha
Mom: "You're right Jocelyn I am good at chewing!"

I wish life were really that simple. I love this girl. Kids are so funny.

This little family of skunks live under our hot tub!!! There is a mama skunk and 6 little skunks! Oh my gosh! What do we do? They are becoming quite brave, coming out when it's light outside. Last year we would see one skunk coming out late at night when we would be watching TV. But now those little buggers come out and play! If you didn't know how gross they were, they're actually quite cute but I don't want them in my yard!

Memorial Day

Right after we took this pictures Jocelyn decided she was too tired to walk...she had lasted about 100 yards.

Poor Mikey carried these kids the whole time.

So we decided to go to Mt. Diablo for a short little hike on Memorial Day. Jocelyn lasted no more than 100 yards and decided she wouldn't walk anymore so Mikey carried her on his shoulders. She thoroughly enjoyed herself the whole time and towards the end said she was having so much fun she wanted to go again tomorrow. Well, we got lost. I don't know how we missed the marker and what was suppose to be a 3.5 mile hike turned into a 6 mile hike. Poor Mikey, his shoulders were so sore. Then we had a little BBQ with Grandpa Steve. It was so nice to have Mikey for 3 days!

Mother's day was great. On Saturday Mikey got me an hour and a half massage and then on Sunday he and Jocelyn made me a yummy breakfast and Jocelyn gave me some beautiful roses. After church we headed up to Mikey's uncle's house for a delicious gourmet meal. I love Craig's cooking!

It was so much fun seeing some of my family in Utah...sorry Jillian. I got my Kneaders and Cafe Rio fix, yum! All the cousins had fun making a mess and running around. That last pic was probably the funniest moment of the trip. Those three were being so good at the McDonald's playplace. They were on the third story so we couldn't see them. All the sudden Maddox came down covered in pink! He said, "The girls got me. Pink is for girls!" Then Taylor and Jocelyn came down head to toe in pink. They had gotten Jocelyn's play blush open along with the lip glosses. You should have seen Taylor's legs! She must have emptied the lip gloss like lotion on her legs and then powdered them with blush. The pic was taken even after we cleaned them up!

Evelyn is almost 8 months old and she's getting six teeth! The 4 on the bottom have already popped through and her two front teeth have finally pierced the gums. The poor thing isn't sleeping (which equals poor mommy not sleeping) and is constantly grabbing at her mouth. Jocelyn is your typical sassy 3 1/2 year old! She loves to laugh and be the center of attention. I just love how much these girls love each other. It is really amazing. Jocelyn has never been anything but loving to Evelyn and Evelyn gets SO excited whenever she sees Jocelyn. Evelyn pretty much only laughs if Jocelyn does something. It is so cute.

So whenever I feed Evelyn her belly looks really big and full, so Jocelyn likes to poke her belly and tell her how full her tummy is. Well, last week Mikey was getting ready for work and sat down on the bed without his shirt on and Jocelyn came and sat by him and looked at his tummy and said, "Wow Daddy, your tummy is really full!" haha. The next day Jocelyn asked him if he had a baby in his tummy.

Mikey has officially made it a goal to lose weight. Poor Mikey. He gained every pound with me when I was pregnant with Jocelyn. Wasn't that sweet? Unfortunately with law school and work and watching Jocelyn so I could work out, he never lost it.

For the month that Tony was sick I barely took any pictures. I finally got around to taking some cute ones of Evelyn. These were taken a few days before she was 6 months old. They've also been on my facebook for a few days so you've all probably already seen them. She's doing better. She still wants to be held CONSTANTLY. But at least I don't have to be constantly moving. Hopefully she'll become a little more independent soon.

It's crazy how after a tragedy you have to just jump right back into things. It feels like life should stop and wait until you've got a grip on things. Like, wait! I still need a little help, please, I'm not ready! But I guess that's life. I felt same way when my dad died. It's hard. Just really hard.

Mikey's mom, Tony, found out right before Christmas that she has pancreatic cancer. It has already spread to her liver. She has "months" to live. The doctor said if he had to guess he'd say 3-6 months. Not long enough. Not fair.

She's 4 months old today! CRAZY. She's definitely getting better. She's not colicky anymore, thank goodness. She's still a tough baby though. I think she's just so use to being held that she doesn't like being put down. She's a GREAT sleeper though! She usually only gets up once a night. So opposite of Jocelyn. Jocelyn was really happy during the day but a HORRIBLE sleeper. So funny how different these two are. Evelyn has a crazy smile. She really puts everything in it! She also can roll over and loves grabbing her toes. Part of the reason she's such a good sleeper is because she sucks her thumb....SO cute! She's really fun to have conversations with. She doesn't coo unless you are talking to her. Then she'll just coo right back. Just today Jocelyn was telling me her abc's and after every letter Evelyn would coo. She really wanted to be part of it :-)

We had a fun week this past week. I headed up to my mom's house and met up with a friend at apple hill. The kids had a lot of fun feeding the animals, picking out their pumpkins and going on a pony ride. Then on Saturday it was Boo at the Zoo so Jocelyn got to dress up in her pirate costume.

Jocelyn turned 3 yesterday!!! I can't believe how old she is!!! We went to Disneyland this past weekend to celebrate. It was so fun! Mikey's sister's all came and his brother came one day too. We went a Minnie and friends breakfast on Saturday morning and a princess lunch on Sunday. She loved hugging and meeting all the characters. It was so cute! This Saturday we are having a birthday party with her friends. Can't wait!

Well, this baby has been a big challenge and I am barely surviving! She's colicky and man is it difficult. Anyway, she was blessed last Sunday and it was a really nice blessing. Jocelyn started preschool last month and she really likes it. When I asked the teacher how she was doing the lady just said, "She's very strong-willed." Haha, I coulda told her that.

I love halloween so I had to dress them up and make them bows! I couldn't get a good picture but they're still cute :-)

I started having contractions at 4:18 in the morning and got right to the hospital. They were already 5 minutes apart and PAINFUL!!! Oh man, I hate those things. They finally got me an epidural around 8:30 in the morning...I was about 5-6 cm dilated by then. They told me since it was my first vaginal delivery that I should expect a baby around 2-3 in the afternoon. There were lots of babies being born that morning apparently, so It took forever for the doc to come in and break my water. So around 10 am the doc came in and broke my water and there was meconium. I have poopy babies cause Joce had meconium too. My sister Jillian and her boyfriend drove up that morning and got to the hospital around 8:30 so they all left at 10 to go get something to eat and barely made back in time because at 11 I was ready to push! They told me sometimes it takes 3 hours of pushing but after the first push and it HURTING like crazy, I freakin pushed hard! I wanted more drugs but they said it was too late. I pushed for 25 min and out came my beautiful princess. I have some serious tearing among other gross things and a baby that nurses every hour but other than that we're doing ok!

We had a few days with my Dad's side the family- my grandparents and Uncle's family. None of us had met little Ari yet. My brother and his kids came for a day and a half and so did Mikey. Unfortunately I didn't get many pictures! It was so fun to see everyone. We went gold panning in Coloma, it was SO HOT and then we went tubing at Sly Park for 2 days. It was great seeing them. Jocelyn loved playing with Ari!

I can't believe it's been 9 years. It seems like just yesterday and in some ways forever ago. I guess because so much has happened...college, marriage, children. You would have been the best grandpa. I miss you terribly and think about you everyday.

On a happier note, this weekend we got together with Grammy and Papa (my dad's parents) and Uncle Ted (Dad's bro) and his family. It made me miss him so much but it was so good to see all of them. I'll post pictures soon.

Awe man. What a bummer. I was SOOOO excited for the All American Food and Music Fest hosted by Bobby Flay. We got there about an hour and a half after it started and moseyed around to find what we wanted to eat. My sister, her boyfriend, Mikey and I all wanted to get in different lines so we could all get a different plate of food and share (you got one free meal from a purveyor with your ticket). So we all got into our different lines and waited and waited and waited...after an hour and a half of waiting in lines and NOT MOVING, we decided it just wasn't worth it. They WAY over sold the thing. The only stand getting their food out and without much wait was "America's best peanut butter and Jelly Sandwiches," so we went and got those while Mikey went and asked how to get a refund. So after we got our refunds, we left. So disappointing but because of the complete disappointment, it actually was pretty funny. We went to a food fest and got peanut butter sandwiches...

So I don't ever use Manuel settings on my camera...ever. Just pure laziness on my part. I thought I'd give it a try today. I also love back lighting so I thought I'd try it with that too. If any of you know anything about photography PLEASE give me some tips. My camera had a really hard time focusing when I really tried to get the sun rays. Oh well. Practice makes perfect...when and if I do :-)

What you'll need: Egg beaters (or one egg), Pam, a round/flat bottomed Tupperware or bowl, salt/pepper, cheese, English muffin/croissant, Canadian bacon, zucchini.

Chop the veggies. Use whatever kind you want! Saute...to make it lower in fat I just use a couple tablespoons of water and Pam...just enough to soften them.

Then spray the Tupperware with Pam. It makes it easier for the egg to come out.

Pour about 1/4-1/3 cup egg beaters in the Tupperware, or just use one egg(whisked).

Add the sauteed veggies, salt and pepper and put in the microwave for 1min 30sec. Check to see if it's cooked through. If not put it in for another 10-15 sec.

I like to brown the Canadian bacon in the pan, you can use the microwave if you want.

Cut the cheese--haha. Ok I don't have a cheese cutter so mine are really sloppy. Also, my husband prefers American cheese which works great too.

Put the ham on the cheese, you can use just one slice of course.

Add the egg and wahla! Your very own Egg Muffin...gourmet style.

This is such an easy and healthy meal. I love it! There's so many variations you can do too. Sometimes I use a bigger Tupperware and make it on croissants. Sometimes I don't use veggies and sometimes I use lots...onions, peppers, zucchini...whatever. You'll love it. Jocelyn can almost eat a whole one! Quick, easy and yummy!

We had a great Easter. It started on Saturday with the Egg hunt at the local park. Jocelyn got to meet the Easter Bunny there. She loved him. She kept trying to give him all the eggs she found. I attempted to make those Cake Ball eggs. They were SO TIME CONSUMING! Oh my gosh. Decorating alone took almost 2 hours! They turned out pretty good though. Then on Sunday we went to Mikey's parents house for dinner and another egg hunt. Jocelyn loved it!

Jocelyn had her fist dance class on Wednesday. She was adorable and she LOVED it! This has been one of the funnest parts about having a girl. I seriously loved watching her in there following instructions and dancing around. When they sat in a half circle to do some stretching exercises, Jocelyn turned to the girl on her right and said "what's your name?" And then turned to the girl on her left and asked her. It was so cute! Not to mention leotards and ballet slippers are just so fun to dress her in!

Well, yesterday was a good day. Jocelyn was an Angel. I took her to downtown Walnut Creek and we walked around some stores and did a little shopping. She got to pick out a pair of sunglasses and run around the fountains. Then we walked to this little deli and we got a sandwich and a cookie. When we sat down outside to eat she looked at me and said "mommy, this is the PERFECT day!" It was so cute! She kept saying it all the way back to the car. Melted my heart.

Today, Jocelyn was a little DEVIL. I took her to the park and this little boy much smaller than she, came into her "space" and she pushed him away, and when he didn't fall, she basically grabbed him and threw him down. I was horrified!! Then she proceeded to steal kids toys and refuse to share. I finally just left. My bi-polar 2 year old!

Funny stories last week: Mikey was making up a song and singing it to Jocelyn while we were in the car and Jocelyn finally said, "Daddy stop singing! You're hurting my ears!" hahaha, thank you Jocelyn. How did she come up with that!!!?

We had so much fun in New York last week. It was all my sisters and my mom. We basically ate our way through the week, and it was awesome. My 3 favorites were DB Bistro Moderne, Max Brenner's Chocolate by the bald man, and Cafe Habana. We also saw the Musical Hair and did lots of shopping.

Jillian did GREAT at her showcase. She got more callbacks than anyone in her class. One from the Warner Brothers! She still has one more showcase in L.A. and then she can pick who she wants to go with. Way to go Jillian!

I couldn't choose which style I liked better...

Every time I put Jocelyn down for a nap or bedtime she always says..."As soon as I wake up I'll yell, MOOOOMMY I'M AWAKE! and then you come and get me." Then I always have to say, "OK, as soon as you wake up yell mommy and I'll come get you."

Well, one day I was trying to change her diaper and she had a little rash so I was trying to put baby powder on it and she thought it was really funny to wiggle around, kick, and try and runaway. Well, I finally held her down and got the baby powder on and she started it again. I got really frustrated and kinda yelled at her and said, "If you don't stop, I'm going to put you to bed!" She then looked straight at me and said, "OK, as soon as I wake up I'm going to say, MOOOOMMY, YOU'RE MEAN!"

Then I just started laughing and couldn't be mad anymore. My little two year old the wise mouth. Great.

14 Weeks

This is not a good scan but oh well. I'm 14 weeks woohoo. All is well except for a horrible cough and cold i've had for 8 days now. I had an appt with the Perinatologist (high risk pregnancy doctor) since I have two blood clotting disorders. When I lived in DC the doctors said I would have to take lovenox (heprin) and inject myself everyday. I tried and hated so I didn't do it. They were really mean to me afterwards, told me I was going to die, kill my baby blah blah blah. I thought they were overreacting since my sister has it as well and her doctor told her not to worry about it. So anyways, I went to one here today and he recommended NOT taking it. Thank YOU!!! What is with the polar opposite recommendations? I hate it. There must be some East Coast vs West Coast thing, who knows. I'm just glad I didn't have a tongue lashing today, I was fully prepared for it. He also gave me some Codeine cough syrup for my cough. Maybe I'll sleep tonight!

She is so weird. She is never just Jocelyn. She is either Edna the horse, Lightning McQueen the racecar or Tito the kitty. If I ever say "Jocelyn come here." She will reply with the proper thing she is at that moment..."no, I'm a racecar." And continue to communicate with me in all vroom vrooms. Oh dear. It's cute at home but a little embarrassing when we are in public. Whenever a cashier will say hi to her while waiting in the cart she replies with vroom vroom's, meow's, or neighing like a horse.

I've finally reached the 12 week mark and I'm feeling a lot better now. I'm also going to New York for 3 1/2 days in March! Woohoo. My sister Jillian has her senior showcase where she sings infront of Broadway producers and Julie, me and my mom are going to watch her. YAY!

Here are some pics we got taken on Saturday. Everyone came home for Thanksgiving at Mikey's house, it was sooooooooo fun!! We all made a dish and they turned out great. I made my great great grandma's orange tea roll recipe for the first time and it was so fun to finally try and keep the tradition going.

We are pretty much moved in now. We got our washer/dryer hooked up, cable and phone. All we have left to get is Internet!! Woohoo!! We also have TONS of organizing to do. It's very time consuming. Hopefully we'll be done in a couple of weeks. Not much will get done this week because Mikey is going on his first business trip. I took Jocelyn to the pumpkin patch last Wednesday. She loved it! We went with some friends and they were all so cute playing with all the pumpkins.

1. I have to have dessert after every meal
2. I hate wearing clothes. I would walk around naked everywhere if it was socially acceptable. Ok maybe not everywhere but you get the idea.
3. I can't sleep without a clock. When I wake up at night I like to see how much time I have left to sleep.
4. I have a serious problem with shoppers guilt. I like to buy things but then I feel guilty and take everything back. My husband says it's really funny to look at the credit card reports.
5. I don't like my ears.

We bought a house!!!! It's in Walnut Creek. Escrow opened today so we should be able to move in 30 days. Yipee!
